State Route 347, also known as John Wayne Parkway, is a north-south highway that runs through Maricopa, connecting to Interstate 10 near Chandler to the north and to State Route 84 near Stanfield to the south. State Route 238, also called Smith-Enke Road, provides an east-west route from Maricopa toward Gila Bend and the southern Phoenix metro area. The Arizona Department of Transportation has a project underway to widen a 14-mile stretch of SR 347 between I-10 and the City of Maricopa, adding a lane in each direction and rehabilitating pavement.
